That’s part of the attraction—we like old guitars that feel like old guitars.

With its age comes character and visible marks showing its previous owner's love of the instrument. Its binding isn't in the best shape. and there are a few nicks and dings on the guitar - meaning that it thrives as a true players' instrument. This is the kind of guitar that isn't used to living its life hanging on the wall.

More importantly, it’s not simply an interesting piece of Gretsch history to look at. It’s a genuinely enjoyable guitar to sit down and play.

For the Gretsch collector, vintage enthusiast or anyone who gravitates towards the slightly more obscure corners of guitar history, the Blackhawk is a fascinating instrument and one that’s well worth seeing in person.

Available now at Classic Guitars & Amps.
