About Classic Guitars and amps

The Shop

The Classic Guitars shop began in 2010, buying, trading and selling vintage, rare & unique instruments.

Since then, the shop has expanded to cater for players of all skill levels and budgets. We also carry a range of accessories, from strings to effects pedals and everything in between.

Following in family footsteps, Jake has been playing and trading guitars since his teens. He has a passion for musical instruments, and makes it his mission to find the right home for each one that he unearths.

Testimonials

One of the best guitar stores I’ve ever been to. Had an awesome range of guitars, and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable.

Jarrod Allen

First time visiting the store today, played some guitars and ended up staying a while playing and chatting with the owner Jake and his dad! Really genuine people, great vibes to the store. I can’t wait to come back when I’m in Hobart next.

Jordan Saplamave

Left my Strat with these guys for a bit of tlc and they worked their magic. Very happy with it, sounds amazing now. Awesome shop and service.
