1979 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
Here we have a true workhorse: a 1979 Fender Stratocaster in classic Sunburst, loaded with vibe, tone, and a story to match.
This is a one-owner guitar, and while it’s clear it has seen a lot of stage time, it’s also been well looked after and never abused. The result? A Strat that’s full of mojo and character, with decades of honest playwear and tone for days.
🔧 In 1980, the original neck was replaced through Fender Australia, due to a fingerboard defect. This replacement was supplied directly by Fender to the dealer and the work was done properly and above board, with full approval from Fender at the time. The neck is a genuine Fender part and has been on the guitar ever since.
🎸 As for how it plays – this thing sounds fantastic. Classic late-’70s Strat tones with a slightly meatier edge.
💪 And now, let’s talk weight. No getting around it – this one is heavy. (And we don’t say that lightly… pun intended 😉). But with the weight comes tons of sustain and rich tone. It’s a player’s guitar through and through.
- Finish: Classic Sunburst
