Introducing the exquisite 2006 Gibson ES-175 Yamano, a stunning natural blonde beauty. Yamano Guitars are exclusively made for the Japanese market and are known for their exceptional build quality, resembling that of a custom shop guitar despite being part of the standard run.

This guitar offers an exceptional playing and sound experience, thanks to its factory-fitted Gibson PAF pickup that delivers a breathtaking jazz tone. Included with the guitar is the paperwork, including the Yamano booklet, as well as an origami crane made by the previous owner in Japan. It feels like bad luck to separate the two, so they are included in the sale of the guitar.

In terms of condition, this ES-175 is in very good shape, with minor nitrocellulose finish checking that adds a touch of vintage charm. The tuners have been replaced with Grovers, but no additional holes were drilled. The existing holes were utilized for the bottom of the original tuners, making it easy to convert back if desired.

This guitar is a true gem, ready to be enjoyed by any jazz enthusiast or musician seeking a remarkable instrument. It comes with a hardshell case, although it is not the original one.

Gibson takes special orders from select dealers who have a high volume of guitar sales, and Yamano has been one of them since the economic boom in Japan in the 70s. These special orders typically consist of high-end production line guitars, rather than custom shop models.

Since its introduction in 1949, the Gibson ES-175 has been a beloved choice among musicians. Its semi-hollow body design, versatile tone, and comfortable playability have made it a go-to instrument for countless artists. Renowned players such as Joe Pass, Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, Steve Howe, and Herb Ellis have all embraced the ES-175, showcasing its incredible capabilities in their own unique styles. However, these are just a few examples of the many musicians who have been captivated by the ES-175's versatility and iconic sound.
