The 1994 Martin HD-28 LSH Grand Marquis is a rare limited edition dreadnought—only 151 made worldwide of which only 36 were made in a sunburst finish. This exceptional instrument features a large soundhole with dual herringbone rings, premium Adirondack spruce top, and East Indian rosewood back and sides for rich, resonant tone. Engineered for superior projection, the scalloped forward-shifted X-bracing delivers louder volume and deeper bass response than standard HD-28 models. The 1 3/4" nut width provides comfortable playability, while the ebony fingerboard showcases distinctive "Grand Marquis" pearl snowflake inlays at the 12th fret. Tortoiseshell binding frames the body, abalone snowflake inlays accent the ebony bridge, and the headstock features a CF Martin pearl logo with gold tuners bearing embossed "M" buttons. The mahogany neck offers a comfortable profile, and the gloss finish reveals the wood's natural character.
